Finished: John Adams Under Fire, by Dan Abrams 📚. A deep dive into how Adams defended the soldiers who were charged with murder in the incident that became known as the Boston Massacre (and got most of them off). Would that we had more lawyers these days with his commitment to everyone getting a good defense.
Finished: Bridge Over Hell by Michael A. Armstrong 📚 Another bizarre entry in the long-running Heroes in Hell shared universe. This one features the Biblical Job (as Hell’s Ombudsman), Washington A. Roebling, Emily Dickinson, and the Brooklyn Bridge as a main character. I’m not sure I know what’s going on any more, but I can’t stop reading the series.

Finished: Dissolution by Nicholas Binge 📚. This was an unexpectedly delightful science fiction novel, featuring time travel via immersion in perfect memories of the past and a conspiracy that turns out to be completely different from what it first appears. It also does a great job of portraying both old and young characters sympathetically. I didn’t figure out the closing twist in advance, though in retrospect it seems obvious. Recommended.
