@manton FWIW: I had an old iMac gathering dust, so I repaved it with Mint Linux, threw on an external HD, and used Resilio Sync to mirror docs and such from my working computer. $0 cost to get me backup copies. I don’t figure it will all fail at once (unless the house burns, in which case I have bigger problems).
