‘Unjolly Holly"
Our long false spring followed by deep cold snap has betrayed many of the plants in this area.
Not the most successful experiment…I really take much better photos when I have decent image stabilization and focus peaking available.
Today’s silly experiment…Sigma 70-300mm A-mount lens on a micro four thirds camera body. I already had the lens and the camera and the adapter was only about $20 so why not?
“Oregon Dawn”
Another cold shot from the top of Mount Pisgah.
“Surrounded”
“Abstract Interweb”
Spider web + freezing fog + flash + red gel.
“Sugary Fireworks”
Freezing fog can make most anything prettier.
“Sea of Fog”
As I’d hoped, the summit of Mount Pisgah was above the valley fog, and I took photos in the dawn light until my fingers started hurting too much to keep going and I had to get back to hiking to warm up.
28 degrees and foggy out there this morning. Perfect day for a hike!
(It’s always a perfect day for a hike).
On the plus side, Osprey replaced my old Duro 15 for free under their “Almighty Guarantee” after determining they couldn’t mend the hipbelt pockets.
On the minus side, the new design is disastrously worse for my use (attaching camera gear via anchor points that are no longer there) so I’m not sure what I’m going to do with the damned thing.
