Government sites

  • InciWeb - The federal government’s incident information system. Includes information on large prescribed burns.
  • NWCC - Coordination between agencies including BLM, USFS, ODF, USF&W, BIA, WA DNR, and NPS. First stop for large fire info and daily situation reports.
  • [Oregon Wildfire Evacuations] - Tracking official evacuation orders across the state.
  • Public Fire Restrictions - Current legal situation mapped by ODF.
  • Pacific Northwest Fire Information - Covering USFS forests in Washington and Oregon.
  • Pacific Northwest Regional Fire Closures - Map of closures on USFS land in Washington and Oregon, with links to individual forest orders.

Mapping/Aggregators

  • FIRMS - NASA’s Fire Information for Resource Management System uses satellite data to map fires and hotspots.
  • Map of Fire - Pretty customizable map with info on active fires. Includes links to the dispatch center for each fire, which is useful for getting more information.
  • Northwest Large Fire Interactive Web Map - Map view from the NWCC.
  • State of Oregon Fires Dashboard - From the state Office of Emergency Management. Note tabs at the top and bottom of the screen to switch between many information feeds.
  • Watch Duty - Consolidates information on wildfires across the western states. They also have Android & iOS apps with alerting for your phone.

Smoke

  • AirNow Fire and Smoke Map - PM2.5 information from a network of sensors. Not much coverage outside of urban areas.
  • Firesmoke Canada - Covers all of North America with forecasts of future PM2.5 concentrations from active wildfires.

Cameras

  • ALERTOregon - Live access to dozens of cameras specifically for smoke & fire monitoring.
