Speaker Johnson is a fucking coward as well as a toadie. This seems transparently to be about not making members vote on the Hegseth impeachment resolution before the midterms.
I also don’t see how they can claim to be working for the American people when they are straight-up not working for a month and a half. I guess if you don’t do anything it’s harder to do anything unpopular.
