“Glisten”

Tiniest mushrooms along the Ridgeline Trail. Had to thrash through some brambles to get this shot but it was worth it.

“Moss Flamingos”

Like lawn flamingos, but different.

“Cape Perpetua Spray”

I rather like the ethereal look of long exposures of crashing waves and foam. I need to find some subjects other than rocks to experiment with though. Fortunately stormy weather is pretty easy to come by at the Oregon coast.

“Cascade”

Trailside stream along the Glynn Creek Trail.

“Lights”

Pre-dawn moonlight and lighthouse at Heceta Head.

Plenty of surf around Cape Perpetua this morning (this is about halfway between low & high tide) (cc: @jean)

Good grief, something went horribly wrong in Darktable when I recropped that last photo. Here’s the square crop for comparison. Still trying to figure out what the computer thinks it’s doing…

Just a little piece of beach agate on my desk. I think this turned out OK, though there’s still room to experiment with the lighting. (Edit: This is not my definition of OK! See next post…)

“Quiet”

A little bit of moss on a tree trunk

“Eugene Christmas”

Last year someone decorated a straggly little pine in our local park. This year the Parks department removed that tree as part of a fuel reduction effort, so the mystery decorator hung ornaments on one of the rhododendrons instead.
